Situated in the north Georgia mountains near Toccoa, Camp Mikell is a generations-old Episcopal camp that is open year-round for families, groups, and camps for people of all ages and all walks of life. This project replaces aged cabins and lodging areas with new cabins perched along a hillside and overlooking the lower camp cabins and group gathering area organized around an outdoor firepit and gathering spot. The vibe is casual, serene, and contemplative. Our goal in designing for an already perfect wooded setting is to not stand out, but rather to blend in and nearly vanish in the landscape.
